Allan Joyce
Allan has recently joined the practice as a junior solicitor.
Through his professional career Allan has served in the Australian Army in Australia and on operational service overseas.
Upon leaving the Army, Allan obtained a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University. He then worked in a number of Commonwealth Government departments in Canberra. His work included intelligence, fraud investigations, conflict resolution, recruitment and employment disputes.
After leaving the public sector Allan ran a successful company specialising in developing protective security and business continuity plans for a range of public and private sector organisations. These included critical infrastructure and iconic Australian institutions.
Allan went on to obtain a Juris Doctor (Hons) from the University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Allan has worked as a volunteer solicitor with ACT Legal Aid and with the Defence and Veterans Legal Service. He also assists veterans in compensation claims and appeals against the Department of Veterans Affairs.
He has a special interest in administrative law especially as it relates to veterans.
